Description:
The AARP RealPad is the first tablet designed specifically for older (50 and above) people who are somewhat apprehensive to digital technology, but is it necessary? This mid-range device runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a simplified interface consisting of large icons and graphics to make it easy for Uncle Joe to see what's onscreen. Since the learning curve can be quite intimidating for older people who are taking the tablet plunge for the first time, AARP offers 24/7 live phone support, in addition to more than 20 pre-installed "How To" videos on the basics of using a tablet. There is also a RealQuick Fix feature that, according to the manufacturer, can diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems in a single touch. Additionally, those who buy this tablet also gets a one-year complimentary AARP membership. In its most basic form however, the RealPad is just like any other Android tablet with features you expect to see in a budget device. What makes it different from the rest is the included AARP support on top of its senior-friendly apps.
Also called Intel RealPad.
